Day 51: Quarter Distance

May 31, 2017
Mile 656.04 Campsite to Mile 676.09 Campsite

The sky was mercifully overcast today. After several really hot days in town at Lake Isabella I was afraid that we’d be in for a scorcher heading into Kennedy Meadows. Fortunately, though, the temperature was mild and comfortable even as we hiked up a few large climbs. It did drizzle a bit in the afternoon, but certainly not as bad as the previous times it’s rained. We also hit the 25% mark today shortly after breakfast. Moving along!
